Yeah, I agree.
Though did anyone else remember their gig at the 1st Dedbeat?
The last album hadn't been out that long and yet their set consisted virtually entirely of tracks from Bizarre Ride...! Nice one

I guess they knew it sucked too!

I didn't make the first dedbeat, but only heard good things.
Aaaand, I only just realised today that this is a dedbeat show, and from looking around the dedbeat website I saw this written...
dedbeat.net wrote:The tour will feature a full band, so picture the chance to see 'Ya Mama' and 'Passin Me By' with a full band ensemble!"
Despite the lack of all members, this is a positive prospect. I should really get my ticket soon.

Plain Rap and Humboldt Beginnings (the newest new one) I don't really take too much notice of. "Cydeways - The Best Of The Pharcyde" just seemed to be half of Labcabin and half of Bizarre Ride, and the only one I haven't ever sampled is the EP from 2000: "Chapter One: Testing the Waters". I don't expect to anytime soon.

I didn't know where Funny Style came from, but I do like that track. After a bit of digging around it appears to be from "The Pharcyde of The Sun: Rare & Unreleased" with the following tracklist:
  • Drop (Beatminerz Remix)
Y? (Be Like That) (Jaydee Remix)
    She Said (Mike Caren Remix)
    Doin` Time (Marshall Arts Remix)
    Funny Style Pt.1
    Yo Mama (Matt Dike Remix)
Technical Difficulties (Space Boogie X Radio Remix)
    Runnin` (Rae & Christian Remix)
Cameltosis (Korn feat. Slim Kid Tre)
Passin` Me By (DJ Rizz Indy Mix)
It looks quite neat, I may have to get a hold of that.

We can't forget the Soulflower remix on the Brand New Heavies LP when they spit their verses at 200% speed or so.

4/20, neva forget.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this show. Pharcyde were definitely on point [even if they were a lil hazy :weed:] and played all the classic tunes to keep the crowd happy and bouncing. A noticeable difference in the classics from the few cuts they played from the newer albums, but still a heavy helping of head nodding and this difference was to be expected really.

I was really impressed with Ty's set. I felt he really captured the audiences attention and with the full live band and soul diva extraordinaire wailing from the bottom of her lungs it really brought it to another level. Really great show. Sweet to hear the story of the Def Tex guys giving him a sofa to crash on, UK4eva, Norwich reppin'. 8)
