Staggering down to the seafront armed with cider, through the ghost town, complete with the 1970s attractions and stray locals who seemed to have been bred with creatures from the X-Files was the surreal highlights of Hemsby.
I miss the 24-hour pub arena. It was a great place to fall around at ungodly hours of the morning.
In all fairness, Minehead is the superior venue though. The waterpark is immense. Plus you can get lifts in the golf cart things from the staff if you get lost at night back to the chalet (if you ask nicely)!!

Re: 4 in a row high fives!!!
I liked the pub in the hemsby butlins, call me old fashioned but I like a pub with windows!
And the other benefit with Hemsby was that it was smaller. Less people = more new friends.
But Minehead is class. The chalets are much nicer. The village is a place where you'd actually want to spend some time, decent pubs compared to MB's sports bar in Hemsby. That water adventure centre in the venue is just amazing. Best hangover/downer cure ever. This year I intend to spend as much time as possible in there.
4th Bloc for me too.
I would like to go to ATP some year, but it sells out very quickly, you have to be really organised with your mates, ready to get tickets as soon as they go on sale.
