next years bloc

Post by kakeybreaks »

Me and my friends went to Bloc for the first time this year and had an amazing time..everything about it was perfect...we all can't wait for next year.

I know it's really early but do you have an indication of date for next year (or is it normally a certain weekend) as i'm having to book off my holiday for work and I really don't want to guess wrong.
thanks

Can you not just give us the dates here?

Not all of us have the luxury of getting to Glade!

I'm going to take a guess at the 12th- 14th March??

Thank you.... Will book the time off now.

Any hints on headliners? What time of year do they get announced and when do tickets go on sale?

Would love it if plump djs, modeselektor (highlight of last year), Japanese popstars and vebtian snares played.

:P :P

Nice one, please can the music approach be more similar to 07/08, felt like there was to much dubstep on in general and not enough techno & electro!
I'm not alone here, all my mates who are bloc veterans said the same thing and as a result they will not attend this year if the lineup is A LOT better.

I was completely blown away at the first 2 Blocs but felt like i was wondering around this year trying to find a half decent buzz, as for the Sunday night C2 & Bambatta were 2 of the poorest sets iv ever witnessed (C2 has been poor every time iv seen him anyway)! Wouldn't mind seeing...

GOSUB
CONVEXTION
AS 1
ZERKALO OR ARPANET (LIVE) (OR BOTH ;)
ARABIAN PRICE (Dunno what happened to him last year)
LOWFISH
DJ OVERDOSE
DBS
IMATRAN VOIMA
MR VELCRO FASTNER (Killed 08)
SILICON SCALLY
ANTHONY ROTHER (Classic Set, anything else would be piss)
STINGRAY
AUX 88
URBAN TRIBE
ECTOMORPH
MODEL 500

DBX (LIVE)
KEITH WORTHY
PATRICE SCOTT
JUS-ED
ANTON ZAP
LEVON VINCENT
SURGEON + DJ PETE
DETTMANN + KLOCK
STL
THEO PARRISH
MOODYMANN (live)
MATHEMATICS LABEL SHOWCASE
WORKSHOP LABEL SHOWCASE
OMAR S
FROZEN BORDER
SANDWELL DISTRICT

I'll add more if anything else comes to mind, overall the madness at Bloc cant be beaten so hopefully some quality names next year will once again blow my mind!

Surely it's time for an appearance of LFO this year? :)

Also would be good to see:

- Syntheme
- Hardfloor
- Fast Eddie / Joe Smooth / Chicago 80s vibes
- Nebula II
- Arpanet, or at least some kind of Gerald Donald outing
- Omar S
- Some old Belgium flavoured stuff. E.g. T99 / Human Resource / Mental Overdrive
- Carl Craig
- Donnacha Costello
- Gordon Edge / Edge Records
- Rob Acid

Aside from that, the reformation of the World Class Wreckin Cru would be fun, if Dr. Dre is up for it ;)
