Roll Call for Wang/Squarepusher

Post by DannyBee »

Right then....

Who going to tales of the mulletbarleylope and who's coming to rave it up @ Wang tomorrow?

I'm at Wang and thought I would see if anyone else on here is going to see good old 'pusher.

If anyone is stuck in London on Sat come along!
Saturday 4th August 2007
WANG presents
REVIVAL!!
Old Fashioned - Soul Saving - Heart Warming
Back to the Bass Tabernacle
Corsica Studios, Unit 5, Farrell Court Elephant Road London SE17 1LB

This night of worship is bought to you by Electro Elvis and Lula, providing moral guidance to the masses since the turn of the millennium.

HEAR THESE SERMONS!!

WANG veteran The Reverend Squarepusher will give a rare "Old-Fashioned-Fire From Heaven - Sin Courting, Home-Rising, City-Shaking, Soul-Saving-Revival-How-To-Have-It" sermon utilising his legendary bass guitar, along side dex and laptop.

The Hard-hitting, fervent, East-London Dance Music Evangelists
Shut Up And Dance
You'll have heard them perhaps over the Radio on Origin FM. Smiley & Pj will do the plainest preaching you'll ever witness. They've been laying down the law since 1986, when they started putting on illegal raves with their Heatwave Sound System. Since then they've released many a seminal track on their SUAD label. With Smiley on the decks, & PJ on the mic, they'll be showing the light to the youth of today, with their back to basics breakbeat sermons.
Watch out for The New Album – “The Great British Public” Released September 2007

Pastor Billy Nasty, Bishop of Electrix and Tortured Records will be giving a sermon on saving the sampled soul, with his own unique blend of Techno and Electro.

Dr Chris Marshall will be preaching a stern yet tender bass message for saints and sinners everywhere.

Sidney Le Sarge will be preaching soul freedom

Lukey Roots QC and MC ISHU will be spreading the word in the name of the GOOD VIBRATIONS SOUND SYSTEM featuring BRITISH MALES (dubstep set) BORDER CROSSING and other guest preachers.

In the words of shut up and dance "It's £10 to get in"
Tickets are available from Sound of the Universe/Souljazz Records (Soho), Rough Trade (Covent Garden) and online from Warpmart
