This is a very exciting one, an ELECTRODE to greet the summer madness of festivals and the promise of no school!
We're open an extra hour, and getting a bigger soundsystem...here's to a great summer.

TIM WRIGHT aka Tubejerk is a genius.
He's had his fingers in many projects, like doing experimental
electronica as 'Germ' and making organic electronic noodles as 'Sand',
(who've released on Soul Jazz)...but today, we're turning our
attention on his more dancefloor orientated work as Speed Baby,
Tubejerk and good old-fashioned Tim : )
He has released an album and a host of EP's on the mighty Mute sister
label, Novamute (a personal favourite label of all time), and his
latest release 'definitely wrong' is just about to drop on Tresor, a
mere 2 weeks before his performance at Electrode.
His sound can be described as two-step techno...It's abrasive and
jacking like techno, you will have heard singles 'Searcher' and 'Going
Down' at the Jam or HOG...but it has a groove to it that screams UK
garage. This has become his trademark sound, but the album "Thirst'
covers many styles; drawing from electro, d&b, jazz, ragga, garage and
techno.
Us Electroders are VERY excited about this performance

ARDISSON is producer Charles Matthews. After a stint
in Japan studying sound engineering, Charles found
himself in London where he acquired a 4am slot playing
industrial strength noise at passed out garage MCs on
InterFACE (the first of London's pirate radio stations
to broadcast on the web), and fell in a love with
clattering beats and sub bass.
Following a handful of handmade experimental releases
and a jam packed itinerary cutting his teeth on the
London electronica circuit with new found friends
Posthuman, he made his vinyl debut with a remix of
Breakneck's T-Break, which appeared on acclaimed
breakbeat label TCR in 2001.
The next year heralded a new sound with the Ardisson
EP on Seed, a blend of breaks and electro tied
together with extreme low frequencies, suited as much
for headphone listening as it was for the club and
receiving Boomkat's single of the year amongst other
accolades. The follow-up 12",the much sought after
Hardware Handshake, was even bigger and received
support from the likes of John Peel and Si Begg, and
represented Seed on Warp Records' Warpmart Issue 1
compilation.
He followed this with his remix of Scan One's 'Every
7th Bullet' on Combat where off kilter steppy beats
met infectious basslines with devastating effect.
The fruits of straight-up dancefloor project "Vlad
Ardisson" (with Vlad Sokolov from Breakneck) have
appeared on the London Breakz label and Rennie
Pilgrem's Perfecto Breaks compilation.
Meanwhile, along with a busy schedule working the
mixing desk for several breaks productions and writing
his own music software, Charles has been busy in the
studio working on a full-length album for Seed.
His sound these days comprises of a hardware/ laptop
full on acid assault that will without question bring
the house down as it always done.
VERR
Oli White is a producer and promoter from the Motherland; Shrewsbury.
His crossover clubnight Version has made a name for itself by being a
showcase for bass fuelled DJs and artists. Going from Dub, Dupstep,
Electro, Breaks and Techno in one evening this is something that has
excited the population of little Shrews and given the them something
OTHER than ''going to Wembley'' to get excited about. He's now
breaking out and coming to MCR, to serve up his unique blend of
steppin' electro-tinged bass-fuelled rumblers. Dark and moody,
wobbling and rocking.
warming up the soundsystem will be a barrage of 'Trode residents, bringing you breaks, bass, techno, electro and glitch.
dont miss this.
