Rotation (Friday 9th March) - Feat. The Black Dog (Live)

Post by Tom »

We're pleased to announce that our March event (Friday 9th) will be headlined by techno/electronic music pioneers 'The Black Dog' as part of a Dust Science Recordings special with Rotation's Derailleur.

March sees the release of Derailleur's 'Wave Theory of Light' EP on Dust Science and as part of the launch Derailleur will perform an extended DJ set and will be joined by label mates The Black Dog making a rare live appearance in Norfolk, exclusively for Rotation. As if that wasn't enough organisers of the Bloc Weekend will also be doing a DJ set as a warm up to one of the most eagerly anticipated music weekenders of the year.

The Black Dog

The Black Dog have been shaping the electronic music scene since the late 80's and put out a series of seminal releases before joining the likes of Autechre, Squarepusher and Nightmares on Wax on Warp Records in the early 90's. A number of highly regarded albums and releases followed, cementing the groups standing in the electronic music world and The Black Dog can now be found developing the highly regarded Dust Science Recordings to put out their new material, as well as a recent 12" (Riphead) on Slam's Soma Recordings.

This is a great chance to catch pioneers of the electronic music scene performing a rare live apperance in Norfolk, so be sure to check it out!

Derailleur - 'Wave Theory of Light EP'

Released on 7th March Derailleur's new EP offers some of his best material yet, with rave reviews and airplay from the likes of Rob Da Bank on BBC Radio 1 the EP already appears destined for success. March's Rotation ties in with the launch of the EP - for more information of it head to the Dust Science website http://www.dustscience.com/Home/
