Fri 30th June BaseLogic party on a fucking paddle steamer

Post by georgehull »

'There is nothing- absolutely nothing- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats'

BaseLogic cordially invite you to a very, very special evening on the Norfolk Broads on Friday June 30th. We've got hold of a mississippi style paddle steamer for a nice warm midsummer evening and on into the night, and will be featuring the coolest beats and bass, as powered by the H.M.S Hecla soundsystem, for a very limited number of guests.

You'll all remember the procedure from our secret springtime windmill rave - please email steamer@baselogic.net with the subject line 'Ahoy there!' to reserve spaces for you and your mates if you'd like to come. The very special nature of the venue means tickets will have to be a tenner, however you can expect a very special lineup from WANG and BaseLogic and a nice long boat trip! Space is very limited so email with your guest list as soon as possible.

NO PIRATES: unlike the springtime rave, there are absolutely no exceptions to the capacity of the steamer. We'll confirm your place on the guest list once you pay for your ticket. If you're not confirmed and you do turn up, the boat might sink so you may have to walk the plank. Simple as.

More info will follow on the full lineup and an the eye-watering after party, so watch this space!

This sounds like far too much fun, sign me up! And as they say,

When the weather is fine you know it's the time
For messin' about on the river
If you take my advice there's nothing so nice
As messin' about on the river

Yarrrrrr.

I sent my e-mail exactly 2 seconds after I had read the original post.

Whilst we talk amongst ourselves we can try to guess the capacity of this beauty and also if they have enough lifeboats.

I heard there's only enough lifeboats for women and small children with extra limbs (Ones from Norfolk) I guess we are all screwed!

Respect - this sounds like a quality idea - are there any spaces left or (foolishly) have I been too slow to respond!

Well DannyBee, I've got our tickets confirmed.

I can now sit back and relax without the growing concern on my mind that I may not get to party near the paddles and meet the infamous goose looming in the foreground of the picture.
