anticon has a lot of stuff in the oven for 2004, cause don't forget we're counting on you all to catch us before we fall off.

and so, coincidentally, supposedly in February anticon is going to be featured on MTV-Europe (at this point, only in Europe) as part of a documentary TV show series, called "this is our music." one episode of the series is 1/2 hour documentary dedicated to anticon. the other episodes feature groups such as: animal collective, essex green, thrill jockey, fense recordings and among others. will let you know when (or if) it airs.

RELEASE NEWS:
march 16th:
**alias- unseen sights 12"
features the single of alias's new full length with Markus Acher of the notwist .It also contains the "physical voice" with pedestrian along with instrumentals of both songs and two new exclusive instrumental tracks. vinyl only 12"

March 23nd US/March 30th Europe:
**anticon label sampler: 1999 - 2004
a bang for your buck, 80 minute mix CD with tracks from all your favorite, in print anticon records along with yet to be released tracks from the upcoming pedestrian, passage, sole, restiform bodies & jel LPs. CD only.

May:
**passage- the forcefield kids CD/2LP
finally! passage's long awaited, self-produced full length record.

**pedestrian- the toss & turn 12"
lead single to the also long awaited pedestrian full length, a hip hop heater.

June:
**pedestrian- vol. 1: unIndian songs CD/LP
at long last pedestrian's solo debut.

late summer/fall 2004:
**sole has been hard at work on "live from rome," his follow up to selling live water. so far the record features production by alias, odd nosdam, controller7, jel and a TBA special-guest producer.
**jel has also been in his studio working on his full length. there are no doubts about this one. this record also has plans for some exciting guest appearences.
**dosh recently married his lovely girlfriend and is about to have his first child!! meanwhile he's managed to continue to work on his follow up record on anticon.
**odd nosdam has also gone back into his lab. he's working on a photo book and a new solo record.
**alias just finished some remixes for lali puna as well as some other labels. he's also working on his follow up to muted, which won't be, well, muted. he's rappin' on this one.
**doseone, the hardest working man in the working mans business, is busy with other projects, but plans on getting back to work on the new themselves record with jel this summer.
**restiform bodies is still banging away studio sessions on their record for anticon.
**passage is currently wrapping up the little things on his upcoming record and will be announcing his tour plans as soon as we make them.
**why? and band are in the studio as we speak coming up with all kind of catchy hooks for their next release.

ANTICON WILL BE @ SXSW in AUSTIN, TX in MARCH
we are going to have an anticon showcase night at SXSW in Austin the week of March 17-21st. Right now, we have the Mercury Lounge Held for Saturday night, but that could change. anticon bands participating are: themselves, why?, alias, dosh (w/ andrew broder), and passage/restiform bodies. We also might to try to do a series of showcase shows on the way down to TX, we'll let you know on that too. I believe, unless you're an industry person or unless you bought a badge to SXSW, it's pretty tough to get in, but they might release some tickets at the door.
