If this happened imagine the population crisis! It would become mayhem!
Also you could go for a drink with your great great great great great grandson when he turned 18 heh
how fucking bored would you get?... at least you'd live long enough to disprove the existence of god to yourself haha... that's about the only good point i can think of... oh actually... you'd get to play on Grand Theft Auto: Norwich.... they'd have put that one out by then i'm sure... man... drive by on prince of wales road... haha and being released at bethel street station after being busted by norwich's finest...
and the ceaseless striving that schopenhauer referred to in his work
gta norwich will have graff missions on the train tracks we could jump off the overpass onto cars without the leg problems after,
lets write a petition to rockstar games
and monoply while we're at it
Yeah, this guy seems like a bit of a mentalist to me. Judging by his beard it looks as though he has been alive several hundred years already, but only just announced his discovery.
I think if this was to suddenly come around it would have far too many complications on our society. Over-population of course is a huge crisis and wouldn't this sort of genetic technology go to far better use making food that doesn't rot or "go-off" to feed the thousands of starving people living in poverty around the world?

I don't like that man.
Not if they sterilised or made the non-aging people sign contracts saying they won't have kids, and didn't let people who already have kids use it. That way you have two choices of immortality, passing on our your genetic code, or not aging.
Hmmmm, I think a lot of Mother's would get a wee bit broody after 900 years without any kids. I don't think a piece of paper would stop people from getting preggers.
Do you think a person undergoing this genetic change would potentially pass on the modified structure to offspring?
