Woman faces charges for deleting ex-boyfriend's game data

Post by mute »

I found this quite amusing.

http://mdn.mainichi.co.jp/news/20050120 ... 2000c.html
A woman in her 30s who illegally used her boyfriend's online username and password to access an Internet game and delete his game data faces charges, police said.
When I first read this I thought what a strange thing to do but later on it starts going into how they met on this game and "started a relationship" which explains her logic but how funny!

What can they do to her though?

The man, who is in his 20s, did not suffer financially because of the woman's actions, but she deleted items such as weapons and clothes that he had spent time collecting in the game.
what kind of game is it that you need to collect clothes?
sounds pretty japanese, do you think they met at a point in the game before they found clothes?

love at first sight is always gonna end like this isn't it?
maybe the sunken ship is the treasure

Not much. I find it depressing that people spend their lives playing the lives of another person inside a game.

You're gonna find that mighty ironic when you realised the Red Dwarf episode Back to Reality is re-al-ah-ee.
