Working at Bloc 2010???
Working at Bloc 2010???
I'm desperate to go to bloc this year. Problem is I don't have a ticket and probably wont be able to afford one. Does anyone know if its possible to work there, doing bar work or stewarding or pretty much just about anything else?

I can certainly offer £10 and some luke warm cider if you will act as our butler for the weekend.
Duties include, but are not limited to: cooking, toilet cleaning, making pleasant conversation, locating members of our chalet when they go awol in a delirious stupor mid-festival, ensuring we all remain breathing and polishing silverware.

If you're actually that desperate to go to Bloc, and actually enjoy it, I'd recommend working somewhere else for three days, save the money that you earn in that job, and then buy yourself a ticket. I doubt that you'd be able to wander off to whatever stage you wanted to if you're supposed to be working.
If you really wanted to get a job at the venue, I guess you could talk to the venue themselves, but I doubt they are interested in taking festival goers on as temporary weekend staff, the security people are from a company and the ground staff seemed to be mostly locals in reasonably steady full or part time jobs.

When I posted, I thought Bloc had already sold out. Pleasantly surprised to see most of the accommodation still available. Shame there is no temporary staffing for bloc, Ive done it before at glasto and its not that bad. I just dont have the money right now, but should do by mid-february. It will just be me and my girlfriend so hopefully the 1 bed apartments will still be available by then.
Thanks for the butler offer, tho I fear my thirst for violence would be an issue
