NPUC electro tonight READ ME
Owens haven't got an entertainments licence! (how can they only just realise
this!?)
the gig may get moved to Kafe Da/Alley Katz!!!!! (bar to 11pm, but
downstairs can in theory go on until 2am)
but Alley Katz not so keen on Owens plan (these are owned by the same
people... something will happen)
at worst, electro room will go ahead at Owens - because it these are only
one/two-people bands.
more news as we get it.

James says "Thanks for the update mate and good job for re-organising on such crazy short notice. "
** thanks for your kind words James, but I am in no way responsible foe any NPUC organisation, merely the conduit for this information while the others have tantrums in the background. It's 7.30-midnight tonight at the former Kafe Da.
Slow's next event is the Bogdan show on the 30th, which you are all aware of. Next NPUC event may well be an attempted piss up in a brewery for all I know! Slow DJs/Canadia live at the Playhouse on sunday, but I half expect it to burn down before then the way things are going.
Lew says "What is going on in norwich at the moment? it seems like there is no one willing to have nights,is it just a case that these places are run by poor excuses for owners?
Hmmmm?????"
** bang! Lew you have achieved nail/head interface with that one.

Took the words right out of my mouth.matthew slow wrote:Lew you have achieved nail/head interface with that one.
Couldn't come to NPUC on Friday as I was working, but I'll be down the Playhouse on Sunday, so if you still want me to do some postering I can pick them then.
Also, are the Waterfront letting you put any DJ's or anything on in the back room upstairs? We got told they have noise restrictions in there.

posters/back room
kenny - sorry we didn't get any posters in your hands over the weekend - you have mail!
back room - we were semi-offered the cafe area as an extra space, and while I'm not sure about any official noise restrictions the implication was definitely for a chill out room type thing. I think if anything we'd be likely to just stick some whale noises on a loop this time and think about using it properly for extra DJs if we hire the venue again. We like the idea of there being no escape from the sonic onslaught in the main room too.
ah, that takes me back to the days when Slow (as e.f.f.e.c.t.) awarded itself a residency in the cafe on saturday nights, playing hip hop and electro to confusioned indie clubbers. We did 18 months and then they kicked us out in favour of selling chips to drunks. happy days!
