Richard Devine appreciation

Post by Obel »

The poor guy got his slot around the same time as Aphex so loads of people cleared out when he came on, which fucking blows because this guy deserves more respect.

It was an intense set, fast, grinding and fucking loud, I thoroughly loved it. Anyone else enjoy this?

yeah we loved this, probably the highlight for us, the room did empty out at the begining, but wasnt that cos the punters werent digging it, as it was feirce as fuk, i loved the fact the room emptied, was much more space, the room certainly filled up again mid set tho, so i think the people who wanted to check it did, Was it on at the same time as AFX?, cos i managed to catch em both, i thought the clash was mode selektor, who i missed

I think there was a half hour overlap? Or at least that was in the schedule.

Yeah, we saw the last half of Devines set after Aphex finished and he does deserve huge kudos. Typically, the room had hardly anyone in it (much like his set at last years BangFace) but, to be honest, I think Devine is pretty used to that cos he knows he music is fukking hard but he loves it and the people who do check his sets out are equally as into it! Me and my boyf well loved it and danced relentlessly! I even thought his set was better than Aphex/Heckers and I told him so too! :P Defo the highlight of Saturday night

Wicked set. What was that piece of hardware he was plucking like a guitar on stage? It made chaotic noise.
