To help celebrate Electro Elvis' birthday, and as a big thankyou to all of you for your continued support, entry to this month's WANG is FREE before 11pm, and only £2 thereafter. This will be the last WANG until September, as we're taking a couple of months off to get married and go on our honeymoon.
Despite being FREE TO GET IN we still have a monster line up, with a mixture of old school, dnb, electro, techno, acid and dub:
Two Bad Mice (Moving Shadow) - Old School Set. Responsible for countless old school rave anthems such as Bombscare, The Helicopter Tune and Kaotic Chemistry. 2 Bad Mice pioneered the use of breakbeats and helped with the very formation of D&B and Jungle. True hardcore legends, one of Moving Shadows biggest acts, we're very lucky to have 2 Bad Mice making a super rare apearance.
Neil Trix (FBD Project) - Old School Ableton Set. Neil ran Coventry's Bangin Tunes record shop (for those of you old enough to remember the bomber jackets, which were a mainstay of oldschool rave-ware
. He was resident DJ at the Amnesia House warehouse raves, and had several releases under the FBD Project name, including 1993's darkside smash 'the core'. Neil is so good at using Ableton Live, that he used to work for Ableton demoing the software!Bolz Bolz (World Electric) - DJ Set. Bolz Bolz runs the World Electric label. He has released plenty of classic electro, and is responsible for WANG anthem - 'take a walk'. Be prepared for a DJ set of storming dance-floor friendly electro and steaming techno, and if your lucky a preview of tracks from his forth-coming album.
Posthuman DJ Set (Seed) - Seed record's head-honchos Rich and Bruce, make a long over-due return to WANG, with Bruce at the controls, anything may happen, but rest-assured it's bound to rock, big style!
Matkore (Subliminal Gonzo) - Live. Prague based electro mentalist Matkore runs Subliminal Gonzo records, amd will be mashing it up with live/dj electro/acid mayhem, be prepared!
Ben Lyford - Ableton set. Ben has just posted up a new mix, click on his name to get sum moosic on ya computa!
Hefty - So impressed were we with Hefty last month, we've asked him back again.
Lukey Roots - providing WANG with his dubwise goodvibes, it wouldn't be the same without Lukey.
Electro Elvis & Lula - Lord and Laydee WANG will be puttin on the ritz, it's Elvis' birthday, so expect the worst!
