Normally a regular DJ among London's underground electro/hardcore scene, the latter half of 2007 saw Blackmass Plastics retreat into the studio, breeding and mutating his musical influences into several rampaging bass-demons, including a sterling remix of Super Mantis by the mighty Scorn.

Emerging from hibernation to ravage soundsystems with his recent assault at the Bloc Weekend 2008, he's laid down this EP of sonic weaponry as a renewed declaration of war.

full press blah blah below... :)

Already being battered by Surgeon and Mary Anne Hobbs, These 4 tracks combine the grind of industrial hardcore, the bass pressure of dubstep, the frenzy of drum'n'bass and the pulse of electro, injected with seething anger . Crushing basslines and rolling drumbreaks charge in relentless rhythms that never let up. Toxic atmospheres and hints of post-apocalyptic mythology pervade the uneasy, quiet spaces before and between each barrage.

This DJ-friendly EP finds immediate allies in the sounds of Rag and Bone Records, Lone Wolf, Rottun Recordings, Threnody, King Cannibal, Scorn, Vex'd, Hench, Komonazmuk and White Boi, Mode Recordings, Ekaros, Search and Destroy, and anyone pursuing the darker, harder end of the bass'n'beats territory.
