Artists confirmed so far in the Overkill tent:

Autechre
Black Rabbit
Vex'd
Daedelus
Rotator

Hmmm still waiting for the killer artists to be announced and with Bloc around the corner it seems most of my excitement is channeling in that direction!

£131 to listen to music about as quiet as most pubs in norwich let you play........

i dunno... glade has allways been awesome but if they dont manage to get the sound restrictions loosened up a bit i might have to go to a festival where the artists dont walk off stage because they cant hear the music above people shouting to turn it up....

its really annoying so many good festivals... which to choose.... the sound levels thing just makes it more difficult.

yea it was a bit off...

if i was playing a set infront of that many people + all i could hear was them shouting id probably run away and hide... probably slightly different reasons than mr funk...

it was actually laughably quiet....

an no matter what the whole weekend was a sizeable 10 or so db quieter than the previous years.... which is ridiculous to the point of making me seriously consider missing my favourite event of the year...

I have to agree with you there Ali. The sound levels were ridiculous last year after midnight. I'm hoping that the promise of a better sound system in overkill will make the difference. I was honestly thinking of boycotting glade last year after the event but I think I could sway to give them another chance to get those levels right. After al,l the vibe at glade is not the same at any other electronic music festival. Let's see how monster that lineup becomes!

it wasnt just after midnight + it wasnt the soundsystems fault.... do you guys remember the planning application thingy that stated the noise regulations?

i would hate to boycott glade as it has done me fucking well in the past and like you say has an awesome atmos/people. allthough with my current money situations it seems bangface is crying out as my if you gotta pick one....

im even missing out on going + playing with our crew for a 6 hour jungle takeover in spain @ dragon fest on saturday night this month because im a damn peasant.....

life is just not fair....

I'm the same, keep saying I'll give them one more chance to improve and then give up on them, but I just can't. I got my ticket within minutes of them going on sale again

Glade is probably my favourite festival, I've made some good friends there over the last few years and the line-ups have always been wicked with more than enough to keep me occupied. Yeah there have been issues with the sound but I've honestly never been so pissed off that I've walked out of a tent or anything. Get to the front and you're fine - not ideal but hey. Like you say let's hope the overkill is running how it should be this year - annoys me that people who didn't know the full story moaned so much about it last year, when they'd worked damn hard to get that tent open at all. I could have cried when I went to overkill on the friday and it was flooded - it's usually my mainstay of the weekend! Anyway I digress...

I can't wait... :)

er yeah I need to buy a ticket! However I do find it a bit rough that they haven't annonced more of the lineup! C'mon glade crew give us a few more reasons to go before I part with my hard earned.
