help!
all the way through the track i've been working on, the master volume keeps moving up and down involuntarily.
apart from that the track is finished, and has taken me a month of hard work to complete.
has anyone else encountered this problem? i'm sure it can be countered but how? been using this software off and on for five years but this has never happened before.
woe is me.
please help.

sounds like you've put some automation on the master volume somewhere down the line.

Assuming this is the case all you need to do is delete that automation.

Where that automation lies is really dependent on how you've built up your track. If you use a single track for recording automation then it should be in there. Otherwise you'll just have to search through the patterns looking for it.

My advice is save a seperate copy of the fruity file to experiment on. This way you could always try just removing different patterns from the song until you find the culprit. Then once you've found where it is you can quickly return to the original file and remove the automation..

Good luck :)

Voted Nelson, he's got a column and everything.

So I take it your problema is all sorted now, I was going to suggest some funky VST interjecting into your plane of level sound, but if it's sorted, all the better.

What style of beats are you producing?

but to british society?
admittedly - nelson prevented us from all speaking spanish, but westwood brought us the power of hiphop and all that that entails!
society = changed.
(plus he got shot) (shit, so did nelson) (bet nelson didnt have a van with his own face airbrushed on the side though!)

it seems i spoke too soon. the automation function is something i have never used, and don't intend to. so i'm not entirely sure how it works. is there any possible way that all automation on the track can be erased?

i believe about a year ago i was trying to give you a demo minidisc, under the name screech curtain, when very drunk, or at least it was someone connected somehow to uncollected who i think was called james, in po na na's i think. i was quite wasted so i probably ended up glassing you instead, and if so, i'm very sorry. po na na's has that effect on me.
i'll soon have some stuff downloadable somewhere and will post a link.

you're all wrong. the greatest norfolk hero of all time is the late, great Allan Smethurst, the singing postman (of 'ha' yew got a loight boy' and 'a miss from diss' fame). it is a little known fact that he lived a true rock'n'roll lifestyle, eventually letting the fame get to his head, losing his job as a village postie, collapsing into a lifestyle of drink and drugs. when he died a few years ago he hadn't opened his mouth to sing for thirty odd years. the drink and drugs had paid their toll. nevertheless a legend, albeit a tainted one.
this is actually true.

by the way, has anyone got any ideas for online track posting? yahoo briefcase only allows 5meg max and most of my tracks are 6/7 minutes long.

I have no noticeable visible facial scars so I think I made it. I fully empathise with your Ponananananana rage although I have had far too many fun nights there.

For the file(s) try www.putfile.com or www.yousendit.com

If you really need permanent hosting give me a shout. Look forward to checking the tracks.

some of those Norf greats in the poll aren't even from round here (Delia), and neither is the singing postman. I have never read Nelson's column - is it in Let's Chat or something?

and while I'm off the subject - has anyone else noticed the DISTURBING similarity between art (The Mighty Boosh) and life (I'm A Celebrity...)?

Jimmy Osmond IS Bob Fossil

Queen Boudica.......Hannah Speritt......Mylene Klass.......Alan Partridge.......Justin Hawkinz *swoon*........Jake Humprphey (http://www.bbc.co.uk/norfolk/kids/jake_ ... 2004.shtml)......hahaha......from d ghetto innit breh

Code: Select all

Local singer Mylene Klass is studying hard for her big night on Celebrity Mastermind. Her chosen subject is the popular television show Sex and the City. The former popstar with now defunct band Hear'say will face some tough questions on her chosen specialist subject whilst sat in the legendary black chair.

Myleen, 27 from Gorleston made the choice of Sex and the City over fears of being embarrassed by appearing on the popular quiz show.

"Jimmy Osmond IS Bob Fossil"?

Can't see it myself...maybe because I couldn't give a shit about Jimmy Osmond yet consider Bob Fossil KING!!

"you know, the little french hairy boy with hands on his feet?" (taking about monkeys)
"note to self: I hate whites"
"I'm going to Miami to take up golf" (pretends to fire a bow and arrow)

It's words of wisdom like this that make Fossil da man!

i'm pretty sure the singing postman is from round these parts. otherwise why would he sing about his 'miss from diss' and the girl he had from 'round wroxham way'. he certainly got about a bit round these parts and if he wasn't from norfolk he certainly fathered some illegitimate children here. besides, he sings in a broad norfolk accent, which eventually inspired the singing farmer to continue his legacy.
my personal favourite is 'moind yer 'ead boy'. whats yours?
