Quick public service announcement. The savvy illuminati amongst you probably eat this for breakfast, but for the slow witted amongst us (me :? )
If you're ever 'down the london'
on a saturday
and you're with no particular place to be.
:D
I can recommend GINGLIK in Sheppo Bush Green (out West)

Electronica/electro until 1am.
You can also get a Sheesha/Hookah in there
Ask for the Carrommen board (Board game like a stoners' version of pool using draughts pieces and talcum powder)

£3 in but 1 of you has to be a member. (You can sign up on the door).
Converted victorian toilets under the green but well nice despite this.....
:)
Si Begg was there on saturday. He rokkked it with his stoopid laptop/shouty-mic set.

worth a look.
They do kung fu lessons on thursdays I think.

Yeah that's a nice venue, saw Somatic Responses live there about a year ago.
I seem to remember the beer is quite pricey though, even for London.

I know the bit - my sister lived over the road. Strange location but not too bad - friend of mine put a drum&bass night on there - would have been good if it wasn't packed full of idiots.. almost having a fight with a thousand psychopaths (might be an exageration) on the night bus was a bit of a disappointment too.

me ed and synapse played there at a colony records night a few months ago.

at the time ed was so skint he was sipping cold spaghetti hoops from a can while he was doing a live set even though he was the headline act... i'll never forget him going up to this well swanky overpriced bar and asking if he could borrow a tin opener.

it's a 21+ private members club in what used to be a public toilet.

check: http://www.colony.freeserve.co.uk/colony4.swf for listings -- colony is run by mike wallis (of tipper's 'crunch' project) and sam ashwell aka abstract knights --- thoroughly excellent people, great releases as well.
