I went to this.

Good vibes- the crowd was small but up for it.
DJing was top notch. Venue was cool.
First D-9 event I have attended. It was well organised- I'll be going to more :D

I was really looking forward to Bitstream.
They were OK.
but unfortunately they seemed to have left their trademark beautiful skewwed melodies at home. Maybe the new album will be more percussive?
Also they didn't seem to be that bothered. I'm not saying everyone has to smash up their laptops and eat their own t-shirt like Bogdan at Dedbeat3, but a slim level of interest would have been welcome given that people made the effort to see them in particular (some from as far away as the republic of Norfolk!). There was a lot of wandering off and leaving loops going for a while. One of the brothers barely approached his laptop all set. Not sure if they had technical problems or not...

They still make some of the best music around.

Unfortunately it wasn't possible for Bitstream to soundcheck before they played so we had some problems in that respect. Other than that it was a really good night for us - lovely crowd, decent turn out and superb stuff from the Andrea and ADJ :)

Thanks for the kind words Herod  - details for May will be up shortly...
