JANUARY: 20th 93 LIVE & LUMIN PRESENT VENETIAN SNARES (LIVE)
& GUESTS.
MAIN HALL 7.30PM - 11PM
£6 Advance / £8 DOORS(www.ticketweb.co.uk / 08700 600 100)
According to NME Planet Mu's VENETIAN SNARES.. is to Music what Satan is to Christianity: a profoundly malevolent force who looks great, intimidates a lot of boring people and is, despite everything, insanely popular... It's like experiencing The Empire Strikes Back on 3D IMAX on LSD..." . On this recommendation it would be hard to miss and act that stands alongside such forceful names as SQUAREPUSHER, APHEX TWIN and BOARDS OF CANADA (need we really say more). Never repeating himself Aaron Funk (aka VENTIAN SNARES) brings a new sound with each new album. So this live outing should be a real treat . Planet Mu dj's and special guests to be announced soon.
Anyone as up for this as I am?

Snares is always good live, but it's a Thursday so that may be problematic for me.

I love this description - VENETIAN SNARES.. is to Music what Satan is to Christianity.

I would definitely go if I had some confirmation that he was to play stuff from his forthcoming LP. ROSSZ CSILLAG ALLAT SZÜLETETT, it sounds like Mozart tinkling with breakcore, haha, also said to be his "most danceable" record yet.

Check da link & samples on the Mu site --> http://www.planet-mu.com/ziq111.html

93 feet east is on Brick Lane; pretty neat venue and location.
It's easy to find, just under a 10 minute walk direct from Liverpool Street Station.

Couldn't see anything for this night on the official 93 feet east website, however, tickets are being sold on the ticketweb.co.uk site.
Here is a direct link to that page --->

£6 is good value I think!

Also here is a link to 93 feet east's website which has piccies of their set-up and also quite comprehensive directions from Liverpool St. to the club.
