EN vs. Palm Springs : Thanks for playing!

Post by Jonny Megabyte »

Back after an absence of nearly 2 years!: Palm Springs will be returning to Norwich in the next month.

(March 31st 2005)

Image

As before, the night will feature Electro, Miami Bass, Ghetto tech and other styles from various dj's, as well as Palmsprings' trademark set-up of Super Nintendo's and other retro consoles: (8 player Mario Kart anyone?)

please contact: Palmsprings@japanimation.com for info regarding line-up, times/ dates and venue . Event will be free as always

Retro videogame requests? Dj's?

Post by Jonny Megabyte »

Oh I just thought <regarding Palmsprings nite> we take SNES, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Megadrive game requests:

If you have a particular fav game that you believe you whip everyone's ass on, then bring it down to the venue <once we finally decide on the venue!> If you don't have it, write to me at:

Jonnymegabyte@japanimation.com

and I'll see if I or any of my other similarly nerdy mates can bring it down.
<I mostly deal in old skool beat-em-ups>

Also: If anyone wants to Dj for about 45mins or so, please write to me at the same address. We usually play Miami Bass, Ghetto Tech, Electro, Trip Hop, Hip Hop and Breakbeat BUT I'm after anything really!

Cheers and all the best

Megabyte

haha, that sounds like fun. Streetfighter II: Championship Edition on the Megadrive all the way.

Gotta be.

Looking forward very much to sampling the Palmsprings night. Good luck in sorting a venue, seems to be harder and harder to find a place without paying a bucketload at the mo.

I'll drop you a line re: Deejay set.

Controllers?

Post by Tramp with a Turntable »

Hi Palmsprings,

being a fan of both free stuff and videogames: you can definately count on me being there. Shall we bring our own controllers? I will just in case.

Do you have Golden Axe, Rival Turf or Double Dragon?

Victory will be the Tramp's!

Hey Tramp (niiiiice name)

We should have plenty of controllers but bring your own, just in case you're lumbered with the dud one!

RE: games-

Golden Axe (might be able to get for Megadrive : i'll get back to you)
Rival Turf (yes! I will bring it along)
Double Dragon (no...but I've been after it for ages! If you have a copy, please bring it down)

Should decide on venue by next week hopefully,

I need to get my Atari working for you.
Street Racer and Combat. Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.

Please don't do it at the old white lion. They ran out of beer last time I was in and the only bottles they had was Bud. What self-respecting pub..........?

Hi Ed and Nick!
Yeah, bring any consoles or games. (did someone say Mastersystem?)
and Nick...yes: I really don't want to hold the night at Old White again either so if you have any other venue ideas, please let me know.

Hey Jonny Megabyte:
is this still going on?
If so, do you need dj's?
