Dedbeat 5: Any news?
Do we know if and when?
I'm already looking forward to it.

db5
good, thanks for the news.
I was hoping it was going to happen.
Wasn't sure though because Sam & co seemed to take a battering on the db messageboard last year because they went more electro than electronica (Fine by me- I'm getting too old for da noize)
Then the db site went offline afterwards. I thought he might have been pissed off with it all.
Good news.
I'm torn between wanting it to happen in feb (cos that's soon!) and wanting it to be beautiful weather again in April.

I think you're always going to find some guys that batter the festival, gig, show or party because it wasn't tuned to their tastes down to the finest point. Dedbeat 4 was a step away from the electronica line-up that spoilt everyone at Dedders 3, but still very very impressive and it's definitely good to take a look outside the box now and then.
In terms of timing, I would prefer a slightly later date, sometime around April, May would be perfect when the weather is getting a bit warmer. Also February almost seems too close at the moment, I need a bit of time to digest the line-up and get myself excited.

Detroit in Effect would have been good if you could hear the fvcking music. Constantly yabbering nonsense about all manner of stuff over the top. Shut up DIE boys.
The other revelation was Octagon Man- who looked like my dad when he's just come from taking some garden waste to the tip.
I was in bed, overheating when you made the luvd up chilli. Sho tasted good tho.

Yeah: DIE did yap a bit, but not as much as when Silvah Bullet came along to piss on Radioactive Man's parade. The man doesn't need MC's!
(though anyone who made '20 seconds to comply' can't be too bad!)
Depth Charge (Octagon Man) was well on form.
Hopefully I won't buy loads of rip-off vinyl in a pill fuelled frenzy this time!
Miami Bass is best bought from Miami (net or otherwise)
