It's the news you've all been waiting for;

!FIRST BLOC LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT!

[Many, many more still to be served up]

Salt N Pepa / Grandmaster Flash / Adam Beyer / Skream B2B Benga

Roots Manuva / Autechre / Ms Dynamite / Wiley

Derrick May / Luke Slater aka Planetary Assault Systems

Lindstrom / Anti-Pop Consortium / Surgeon A/V / Nathan Fake

Joker / Mark Ernestus feat. Tiki Man - Rhythm & Sound

O wow - if it's not Salt n Pepa, the Grammy award-winning biggest-selling female rap group of all time, then it's Skream & Benga, the world's first dubstep megastars, and if it's not Autechre making music from the future obselete before it's even happened, then it's Derrick May, the living icon of Detroit techno sharing his sonic inventions with a new generation. And even if it's none of that, it's either going to be Grandmaster Flash, the first individual in the galaxy to use turntables as an instrument bringing the sound of NYC or it'll be Adam Beyer nailing the party to the wall.

And there's so much more in the pipeline...

You can't swing a cat at BLOC without it hitting a next-level underground superstar, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Tickets available at our official website http://www.blocweekend.com

BLOC has sold out in advance for three years in a row - get your skates on if you want to be sure of an apartment with a kitchen and living room!

Thanks so much to everyone who has got their tickets sorted already - remember that the earlier you are in the queue, the better apartment available to you, but they are all quite nice anyway.

Looking good! Glad to see APC appearing after their recent reunion and new album after a 6 year break. Also looking forward to a deep and banging set from Nathan Fake after hearing Hard Islands.

I feel like a child finding out what I'm getting for christmas with the bloc line ups. Looking rather tasty already, hoping for lots more techno this year. Glad to see a bit more hip hop too, kinda reminds me of dedbeat, can we start a petition for MF DOOM?!!

Also hoping something interesting might happen with the Wiley show. Please let it be an actual grime set, no promo.

It's my first ever Bloc next year, very excited, line up looks good so far! Does Bloc ever have any drum & bass acts on the bill? 8)

@Mattyp: Bloc has never been that dominated by Drum and Bass, but there's always a few good acts and there was also a decent selection of oldskool for the first time in 2009 :)

Last year there was Bizzy B & 4 Hero and I also recall Black Sun Empire, Congo Natty, Dead Silence and Remarc in the past too.
