Live?

Post by eviljoker7075 »

Hey guys - bit of a N00b question here - but looking at the lineup, what does it mean when the bands have 'Live' next to their name?

Cheers!

And just to clarify, what's the difference between a DJ set and a live show? The songs that are played?

songs played on machines, rather than decks.

So:

live = playing own songs on instruments

not live = putting records on

not exactly...

here is an attempt at an accurate definition

live = a full live performance which does not incorporate a DJ element. eg a band or a solo artist with instruments or electronic music equipment being used on stage

not live = either a DJ, DJs, DJ/MC or a show incorporating a DJ element. eg records/turntables or recorded music being played as part of the show from a sampler or computer

often, shows which are not billed as 'live' will incorporate a live and DJ element. 'live' shows are performed entirely 'live'
