Just listening to the new Barry Lynn album on Planet Mu (Balancing Lakes) Very good indeed, he was up there in my top 5 acts to definitely see but he's moved to number 1 now. Can't wait. This time next week, WooHooooooo! :P

Yeah, I got a chance to check out that LP. I think it's great to hear him branching out. Some of the mechnical intricacies are not too adrift from the Bitstream sounds, and has that trademark bass alongisde a big range of synth squiggles and blerps.

Definitely looking forward to seeing his live show.

I agree. Mr Barry Boxcutter's latest Record gets the big thumbs up from me. It is textured so beautifully and could well be my album of the year. Really looking forward to checking him out. He was my neighbour last year at Bloc and I told him "Not really into all that dubstep stuff. Sorry mate"

oops

Dannybee,

Did you have an electro mix kicking about the net a few years ago?

The tracks on this LP were produced from 2002 to 2005. Very good stuff, can't stop listening.

Saw Boxcutter live a couple of weeks ago. Rubbish. Very dissapointed by it, and with so much stuff on at Bloc he's been struck off my to-see list.

Never ventured in there last year... it seemed like claustophobic madness!
