KARL BARTOS - live audiovisual performance.

Professor Karl Bartos (born 31st May 1952) was an original member of Kraftwerk's 'classic' lineup from 1975 to 1991.

He is credited as a song-writer on the albums Man-Machine, Computerworld and Electric Café and singles Radio-Activity, Trans Europe Express, The Man Machine, Computer World, Tour de France, Electric Cafe and The Mix: some of modern music's most significant and influential works.

This solo performance is comprised of a magnificent full live audiovisual show. He will be joined on stage by Mathias Black and Robert Baumanns performing in perfect harmony with the machines he has helped to create. His stage show is an awe-inspiring set of big screens, projections and futuristic lighting that has been chartered in a special land transport from his home country of Germany.

We are thrilled and honoured to be hosting this rare UK performance from a true legend of electronic music.

Here is a video of the show -

We sat up all night waiting and then sat there going 'OMG KRAFTWERK IS BURIAL'. It was next level.

The more i think about it the less i'm impressed with the choice. Yes it's a great feat booking a true electroinc music legend (if he turns up that is, i've read more than once now that he has an unnerving habbit of canceling UK gigs) I was rather hoping for a headliner that was going to make you move more than your hand up to your chin. His newer music isn't even that good, have you listened to Communication????

Gotta admit: I agree on this one.

Ever seen Kraftwerk live? I have and it was.... well, a bit on the dull side.

Not really the biggest name ever... can see why they kept it a secret (and well done for starting the The Tuss rumor: guarenteed to shift a few more tickets instead of ol' Karl! Crafty!!)

Kraftwerk are legends, but if ya youtube any of their gigs, you will probably be bored after 2 minutes (both aesthetically and musically)

It's like Autrechre all over again!

I've seen them 3 times.

They where fucking amazing, how can you possibly call them dull? What did you expect 200bpm+ gabba renditions of the robots?

Ah, sorry, I am psychotic on sleep deprivation.

It was a school night, by 4am I was fucking off my head, we were all built up by marie anne's dubstep pressure for her to say 'AND THE MYSTERY HEADLINER IS::: BURIAL BRB THE TUSS'

and then she said it was this old German guy so we immediatly donned tin foil hats and ran around saying 'omg kraftwerk are burial!!!'.

I am easily amused.

I don't want to be in the office anymore.
