Hello WANGers
Happy new year one and all.
Massive thanks to everybody who came along on New Years Eve. We trust you all enjoyed Tom J's impromptue live mash up.

Onto 2008....

We've decided to give ourselves a kick up the backside, and get back to doing regular monthly parties on the first Saturday of each and every month, at our new regular home Corsica Studios. As long as you guys keep coming, we'll keep puttin on parties!
More and more of you seem to want to buy tickets online, and as many of you know, at the end of last year we had a lot of problems with this. If all goes according to plan, after the weekend we should have a new simple online payment system in place, using paypal directly from our site.

First party of 2008 is on Saturday Febuary 2nd 2008

A few of our friends and long time WANG regulars, had been giving us an earbending about the lack of 'full on proper electro' at WANG recently.
So we've pulled out all the stops for Feb 2nd.

We've got Jackal and Hyde playing live for the first time ever in the UK.
For those of you who dont know, Jackal and Hyde are an American duo, Scott Weiser and Todd Walker, who have released some of the most tearing 'proper' new-school electro ever made. Virtually everyone of their tracks get played by pretty much every electro DJ, and their tunes are defo WANG favorites. Scott is also makes up half of legendary Electro outfit Dynamix II.
They're flying in all the way from Florida just to play for you at WANG, and will be performing a full on live set with keyboards and machines (not just laptops - no disrepect to all laptop performers, but ya gotta love the hardware)
So we'd really appreciate maximum support from all of you, so we can show 'em how london rocks electro style.

Representing the UK, we've got DJ support from the likes of:

Ed DMX aka DMX Krew - Breaking Records head honcho and Rephlex recording artiste, ED is one of the UKs finest electro DJs and producers.
Rob Hall (Skam) - Rob helps run manchester's mighty Skam records, as well as being a part-time member of the part-time collective Gescom (lazy git hahaha)
J Saul Kane aka Depthcharge, S.E.M., Octagon Man, etc, etc, etc.... Jonathan has pioneered so many different styles, he's always 5 or 6 steps ahead of the game, and with his final scratch plugged in, you never know what you might get!

For Room 2 we've called upon the services of Metroline records.
Run by Andrea Kalenda, Phiorio and DJ Raw, their download only releases have been causing a massive stir in the minimal techno scene, getting support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier and Magda.
They are just about to drop their first vinyl release and have an extra special guest (TBC)

So come down and support the cause and lets start 2008 as we mean to go on.

WANG - Less of a club, more of a party!

Electro Elvis
Lula
Ben Lyford
Disco Dave (and we've banned him from getting pissed and playing dnb badly, his promised to drop some miltant electro action  )
