DEF JUX / 93 LIVE / PROFILE AGENCY PRESENT: Aesop Rock plus C-RAYZ WALZ & DJ WIZ
AESOP ROCK - The eclectic rhyme-sayer who burst onto the radar with his universally acclaimed Definitive Jux debut album Labor Days and then followed it up with the anthemic EP Daylight, returns to reclaim the truth and hand out lyrical beat downs to those who stole the up-rock and buffed the trains. C-RAYZ WALZ - Every once in a while an MC emerges whom profoundly alters the landscape of hip hop. Big Daddy Kane. Rakim. Chuck D. Ice Cube. Jeru. Biggie Smalls. ODB. Eminem. It’s time to make room for another name on that list. Straight out of that boogie-down borough where it all started, C-Rayz Walz comes heavily armed with his self-created style - The Art of Energy. Spellbinding, cinematic, jaw-dropping, mind-blowing, completely original. The words will be put in your mouth. All it takes is one listen to start understanding why the game is about to completely change. Plus DJ WIZ too.
£8.00

Some twats like me actually have to live there, with the twat police hasslin you all the time breaking into your house in the wee hours to cut off random pieces of hair ripping your jeans and felt tip penning their tags on your new trainers.
Count me in for the 22nd

It was a nice show, however massively shorter than I expected.
The doors opened at 7, we got there around 9ish I guess and the show was over by ten to nine. {Sunday late license I guess.}
However, it was a nicely packed hour or so with the spread of Bazooka Tooth and Ravipops over to classics such as Daylight and a No Regrets remix (same as he did at Dedbeat3 I think). A forced freestyle session started after a few shouts from the eager crowd, Aesop and C-Rayz bounced off each other with 8 bars at a time with a lil cheer from the crows as congratulation upon a nice line or two.
Overall a nice show, and I got to dance around to funk afterwards and drink more beer. Yay for Bethnal Green psycotic crack-heads!
