We tried unsucessfully to book Snares again for a date during his upcoming European tour, the reason being that he didn't want to play two dates in East Anglia.
I soon wondered where else he would be playing so stumbled across these details on the Planet-Mu forum.

Notice the one in bold, "Faster Than Sound Festival" in a village somewhere in Norfolk. Does anyone have any clue what this is? Google didn't come up with anything for me and I'd like to know more about a festival where Mr Funk is going to be.

there is a place by that name in Suffolk, on the coast between ipswich and lowestoft........
There is a link on this webpage -
http://www.aldeburgh-uk.com/indexframes.htm That mentions a festival with no date, but the link doesnt work!
Now I just found this......
http://www.aldeburgh.co.uk/home.cfm?fla ... /index.cfm
"59th Aldeburgh Festival 9-25 June 2006"
Looks like it will be that, but by the listing on that website it all seems to be classical, maybe the organisers heard a little snippet from Rossz Csillag and booked him

..........seems a bit random venue for pure mashup

Sounds like total fun...
Snares on a disused airbase in Norfolk...
Why don't we all go down there and mash it up big time and give some support the the Canadian Grumpy Legend... (Well he was at Uncollected anyway)
Anyone know who is organising this? All the decent DJ's in Norfolk should get on the case and make this awesome!
Bring it ON!

did a genus bit of research by going to....
www.fasterthansound.co.uk (as it was the festivals name)
and it appears that it links to Lumin (a london based promoting company)
Shitmat and Snares are listed on the site so I guess we can hope for good things?
Damn I am easily excited today... (obviously it's a shame it isn't in Brighton *JOKE*)

Most airfields and such only have normal chain link fences around them, its just the perimeter patrols or millitary police that would make it hard......this place prolly would have a staff of about 20 max, mostly at the main hanger and a few on the gates........recon it would be easy as long as theres no wrist bands

Well with a line-up like this that it's bound to be pretty militant.
I failed to notice that the electrowerkz night was the night before this as I am definitely going to that. Looks like it will be one messy weekend if I manage to get to both.
