I didnt conform to the Miami Vice one last year. Everyone pretty much looked the same. I went as a pun as a Chipmunk. Had a monks costume with boxes of Microchips stuck to it. This year im spending a week on the costume. Dead Celebrities that died in 2009 are a good one.

I also think a colour theme, under the sea, and children's party are good alternatives to the dreaded Chav theme.

Mothers is a great idea! I feel bad for missing Mothers' day.

I kind assumed the chav thing was a joke - which I think it was intended as. I also like the idea of "what you want to be when you grow up" but not so much the mothers one. The idea of sweaty men in drag isn't doing it for me - but i suppose you never know!

don't think i'd fancy the dead 09 celebrity thing...it'd end up with at least 200 jacko's walkin around the place...had enough of that at halloween last year

Hate to be a naysayer, but isn't this theme dangerously close to the old Sunday best theme, which was fun and all, but i mean i've basically had a suit on Sunday for the last two bloc's - I fancied a bit of something different - medieval, futuristic. And no, I'm not dressing as a cake....unless......
