hello mate,

cheers for asking. basically, the answer is no. please don't....

the chalets are not soundproofed and the venue is in a residential area. owing to previous issues with noise disturbances on the site and the terms of the new license law, it is possible that the council could shut the event down if it's pissing off the neighbours.

the main arenas are fully sound proofed and it is taking 2 articulated lorries to transport the sound systems within. One of the arenas is also open for 24 hours a day... you won't be needing your own gear!

sorry to be a grinch but we don't want any disasters....

Am I the only person who thought this thread was going to be about whether or not it's a good idea to go to Bloc Weekend with your dad?

well, if thats what he meant..

bringing your Pa to BLOC is to be encouraged, i think he'll really enjoy himself. If there is enough demmand, we will be running creches for parents with pipes, comfortable chairs, copies of Gardeners World magazine and Sky Sports. ahhh that's better. :)

so whats the deal with the chalets? how secure are they? do we get one key between the whole group? or does everyone get a key each?

you get one key and additional keys cost a fiver - you can get them from reception

the chalets are pretty secure as they go - remember, people do choose to go on holiday to them - they're holiday homes.
