FREE tickets to M.I.A gig @ Waterfront this Thurs

Post by raddad »

Yo,

not 2 be missed gig 2morro night at the Waterfront

We have been dropping her choons at Beatfix for a while now and she also featured heavily on our Beatfix radio show during the recent stint of Future FM...........

For those that are less familar with M.I.A (Missing In Action) her sound is a mix of Hip Hop, Grime and Electro to name but a few of the influences !!!!!!!

She was also on the cover of this months OUTLINE mag

due to slow ticket sales the record label have decided 2 give away FREE tickets !!!!!! so the MIA vibe can be spread across the land

if you would like 2 go contact the Waterfront by email on
thewaterfront@uea.ac.uk

adding your name and and any guests to get ya name on the guest list !!!!!!!!

FOR MORE INFO on M.I.A (Missing In Action) check out

Yeah, it's definitely an innovative and interesting LP, plus she's quite hot.

Thanks for the heads up about the tickets.

Bummer, the offer was only open yesterday and I didn't manage to get an e-mail sent in time.

Ah well.

Cheers for the advice.
Arhkboob and myself tried it and got on the guest list, no problem.
(our friends who'd payed were a wee bit pissed off!)

Due to the fact it was free, we turned up at about 10:30 in a drunk/stoned stupor and caught her last 4 songs: some Great Yarmouth and other coastal name drops put the Larkman Vorhees camp in high spirits.

Her music is ace but i did just see her on tv at Glastonbury and she didn't seem all that good live. I'm glad I didn't make the 6 hour journey home to see her.

I'm skeptically any time i hear someone mentioned as "the next big thing", stinks of record company interference and viral marketing. I heard the gig was organised by Clear Channel as well, which doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.
