Booking fee

Post by wat_boy »

Hi guys, I plan on booking my ticket in the next week (if they're still available, my first bloc) but money is fairly tight at the moment so i wish to know how much the booking fee is before i order, watching the limit on the credit card!!!

Cheers.

On my chalet for 6, it worked out as £155 per person, £930 total all in.

i'd prefer it if it was £5 per transaction but as all ticket companies seem to do this its unfair for me to moan too much about something i really rate

hey,

Credit card transactions cost us around 3% (so that's £4.50 on each £150 ticket) and there are other, smaller, costs associated with running the online store.

So - a fiver, per ticket, is exactly what selling them actually costs us.

So thanks for your understanding... hope you think this system is fair!

I wouldn't say it's unfair. I'm just not sure why the booking fee gets split out as a special extra charge when there isn't a third party reseller involved. I suppose there is either some tax reason (or more likely refund liability?) or else you feel that other festivals are doing it and you want to be able to quote a price that is comparable and maybe thus get more punters. Any strategy that helps make Bloc another sell-out is fine in my book, but I have to say it would be more polite just to state the price up-front.
