WANG XXXMas Party - 15th December 07

Post by james »

Hello WANGers

First of all we'd like to say a massive thanks to all of you that came to the October WANG Party, what an amazing night! We're really stoked at the continued support we get from all of you, and would like to say sorry to any of you who couldn't get in. We've started selling tickets in advance to avoid people being disappointed (particularly those of you who travel from afar - we had one crazy dude who'd flown in from the US specifically for the last party - mental!)
After two parties at Corsica everybody seems to really like the new venue, and it feels like home already. We've got lots planned for next year and have decided to return to our usual date of the first Saturday of every month!!
Our next event is the WANG XXXMas Party on Saturday 15th December 07

We will be playing host to:

Alexander Robotnick - Italo disco-electro pioneer, who'll be doing a 'semi-live' laptop set. AR is held up as a hero by house, techno, electro and disco artists alike. He released "Problèmes d'amour" all the way back in 1983, and it still gets regularly dropped in DJ sets today. These days he plays a bang up to date set all mashed together on his laptop, and if you're ever so nice to him he might even get on the mic! Rest assured he'll be banging it hard in true 'wang' style.

Plaid - WANG Stalwarts return after too long a gap, with an extra special "Live and DJ" set. Plaid always rock the house and we can't wait to have them back.

Tim Taylor - Missile Records head honcho, Tim has also been responsible for countless classic tracks under the names Pump Panel, Egyptian Empire and Planet of the Drums. As well as releasing such classics as "The horn track" and "Bang the acid", Tim also provided the banging techno for the Blade soundtrack.

Dexter - Klakson label boss and long time Clone artist Dexter makes his wang debut - This may be his first appearance at Wang, but it's certainly not the first time his records have been heard, with releases such as "I don't care" and "Intruder" having been regularly dropped causing dancefloor devastation!

The Boardroom - Live electronic madness from Klang Elektronic latest signing.

Lukey Roots QC - Lukey drops the dubwise selection

Electro Elvis & Lula - WANG hosts with the most

Tickets are £10 in advance; see the website for more details
