yup good skills and congratulations guys, it was awesome. the whole technique gang loved it - as did everybody else by the looks of it!

highlights - alex smoke, and either black sun empire or noisia [can't remember which] both ripped it up proper.

Most marvellous, thank ye very much.

My highlights:
  • Autechre - proper amazing
  • Surgeon - despite looking like a serial killer
  • Ardisson - despite the dodgy sound
  • Andrea Park - as above
  • The Sunday dubstep session - brilliant
Everyone was friendly, there was a huge mix of punters and things generally ran on time - well done! Only rubbish bit was the falling over of sound in the Smashbloc and the lack of supa-sub for the dubstep.

THANKS!

Yeah I had a damn good weekend. Everybody was giving it their best. Highlights for me were:

Neil Landstrum - what a fucking great way to get the bloc weekend going.

Robert Hood - that guy is just first class

Vex'd - he was really entertaining

Jacen Solo (atleast I think it was him) - most of the music I heard all weekend was pretty harsh and dark so its was a nice surprise to hear some soulful techno!

Rhythm and sound played an asbolute beast of a tune to end their set. Does anyone know what record that might be from?

Nucleus, Dead Silence, Dexorcist & Pest were great.

Top weekend - very well organised (apart from checking out which took ages!) and great bar prices too!

Long live bloc!

The good:
Aux 88, Silicon Scally, Paul Blackford, Radioactive Man, Iration Steppas, nice security staff, the sound systems, how fantastically smoothly it all ran.

The not-so-good:
Pontins audacious profiteering and general contempt they had for their customers.

Like my mate said though, people pay that much to camp in a field at a festival. Look at the accommodation as being free and it seems a lot better. The unexpected electricity meter system, the grumpy Pontins staff (I'd be grumpy on their wages), the damage/deposit scam and the disgusting jacket potatoes still didn't stop it from being one of the best weekends of my life.

A couple of suggestions for next year:
Have Paul Blackford play at a sensible time. Getting up at 6.30 and having it to the finest UK Bass surrounded by the living dead was fun, but please bill him a bit earlier next time.

Aux88 at the same time as Newcleus was a bizarre programming decision. Did anybody see Newcleus? I was really looking forward to seeing them but there was no way I was going to miss Aux88.

Can wait for next year! Good work BLOCheads.

hats off to everyone involved. a killer weekend as far as I'm concerned. I missed some of what I went for but I'm not disappointed in the least. I had a blast. the time flew by and I just wish I could be back there now.

this really recharged my batteries, feeling buzzed out completely after such a line-up and I got to hang out with alot of friends I've not seen for a long time. sure as shit I'll be first in the queue for next year.

cheers all!

on sunday as i was wating on my deposit i caught a male member ov staff having sex with a 16-18 year old boy in the toilets ..i informed the toilet attendent <who didnt look at all phazed > he went into the toilets and escorted them out ..the boy looked like a rent boy to me <i live in west end ov glasgow and there is a good few rentboys in the parks at night> the other guy was a fuckin pontins cleaner...

FUCK PONTINS..the place was a fuking dump..you think whoever orginised the event would have cheked out the venue first..then again the cheeper the venue the more money for the line up......the more money for the line up.......the better the line up.....and satday nights bill was fuckin well good...

sum ov those acts cost a bomb to put on...

all in all i have to say ive been to much btr partys.this neo rave bolloks is doing my fucking head in .a bunch ov sycophantic pill poping kids and no real substance...half ov the acts that played were wasted on those cunts...

He's posting the same in all topics, cry baby.

Big up for everyone in the organisation, it was worth every minute of our trip from Holland. Great music, and great location. Only the chalets were crap, but hey..what can you do.
