To say a huge thanks to all you WANGers that have supported us over the years by coming to our parties, and for all the amazing times you have therefore given us, we will be celebrating in the only way we know how, with a great big dirty warehouse rave party! 8-)

We are currently hard at work planning are most outrageous party yet..
We feel the line-up reflects some of the highlights of the last 10 years.
You can rest assured that all the sound systems will be totally unrestricted and firing on all cylinders with the sweetest heavy heavy bass sounds that make your nose twitch and your eyeballs vibrate!
Since the very start of WANG we have had a strong presence of mind-bending visuals to take your brain to another dimension and for 10th birthday party we've upped the ante yet again, with the largest old-school TV video wall seen since the 1980's, featuring over 1.5 tonnes of TV screens.
We will also have enough lights, lasers and strobes and blind a small army.
This is all due to take place on

Saturday 14th November 2009

Line-up so far....

Squarepusher - Rave & Bass set
Simian Mobile Disco - DJ Set
Andrew Weatherall
Plaid
Mark Broom
Radioactive Man - live
Richard Sen aka Padded Cell
Posthuman - live
Vibration Dub Sound System
Julian Fairshare
Soul Jazz DJs

Many more acts on the way - Keep checking wangweb for updates. 8)

Ordered my tickets and added the flyer to the first post. The 1.5 tonnes of walled video monitors sounds pretty nuts.

I think you're confusing us with the WARP20 party, at the Coronet on Dec 5th, which I'm sure will be wicked, although probably quite a lot less 'ravey' than our party. :D

Location has been released!

It will be held at Ewer Street Car Park (29 Great Suffolk Street, London, SE1 0NR). Boasting a massive courtyard and two arched rooms it sounds pretty awesome.

Awesome, awesome night. What a venue! Every set I saw was brilliant - haven't danced as much or as hard since Bloc. Crowd were up for it as always. Don't think that pub nearby knew what had hit them!

Dexorcist & Bass Junkie - perfect intro with plenty of electro. Glad we made the effort to get there in time to see them.

Posthuman - great tunes, shame the sound went during Lander! Josh you got one of my marks of respect - I went to dance by the rear speakers because there was more room :)

Plaid - first time I've seen them live, and they didn't disappoint. 'Squance' has instantly become one of my favourite live tunes, brilliant funky uplifting beats!

Elvis - played the best I've ever heard him. (Not that I've ever been disappointed, but I think was a tad harder than I've heard before, and I was wanting that halfway through the night)

SMD - never rated them anything above 'OK' on the couple of occasions I've heard them before, but this was a much more enjoyable set. Maybe the excellent Wang crowd helped the atmosphere :)

Andy Weatherall - I think I last saw him in 1994  To say the beats were hypnotic is an understatement - it took a force of will to wander off back to the main room.

Radioactiveman - I think I actually preferred this Wang set to Bloc 2008 (which I loved). More breaks oriented tunes, which I think works much better at 5 in the morning - if I'd been listening to lots of 4/4 I'd have given up. As it was my legs were aching by 6.15 :)

Lots of videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/mikeainley# ... 18E8FC9C5C

Thanks to Lula and Elvis for an amazing night - can we have more there please? Pretty please?

I had a fantastic time! Found myself stuck in the 2nd room for most of the night due to some storming bass and thumping sounds.

Congrats to Lula and Elvis on a well celebrated 10th birthday and let's hope for 10 more years of fun!

Yep, I too had an awesome time.. and what a brilliant venue! Thanks Wang.
Good to see all the usual suspects too. Well worth being extremely frazzled at work today.
