After the excellent success of the debut release MORTAL COILS, we're proud to announce the release of our follow-up EP THE FALL OF LIBERTY.

A hybrid of breakbeat, electro, dubstep and techno, this EP has been doing some serius aural damage over the last few months, with huge support from the likes of Dave Clarke, Mary Ann Hobbs, Radioactive Man, Warlock and Shelley Parker to name but a few.

You can listen to each track HERE

And it's availabe from JUNO DOWNLOAD HERE

More info on each track is included below as well as reviews from I-DJ and MIXMAG

An additional review can be found on MAKE MASSAIR HERE

Enjoy 8)

It all kicks off with Teutonic Kaboom's TERMINAL. Gliding effortlessly between dubstep and breakbeat and with a monster bassline to boot, this is rude as fuck and as fresh as hell.

Next up is Mazzula with BASS BIAS. Straight up, eerie electro aimed right at the dancefloor with sniper-like accuracy. It's a small wonder Dave Clarke's been waxing lyrical about this, featuring it on his WhiteNoise Radio Show.

Label debutant Ver drops in with TRADE OFF. This is straight up dubstep territory with a dark cinematic feel and recently featured on Mary Anne Hobb's Radio1 Breezeblock show.

Cynthia Stern makes a welcome return with some trademark off-centre techno action in CHINA BELLY YUM! This is an absolute leviathan of a track with possibly the fattest kick drum ever recorded married with some real wobbly bass action.

And far be it from Smashback to be left out. He offers up the heavyweight UBLERBRUCH.This is peak time breakbeat business at its very best and has been doing some serious damage for some time now.

Last but by no means least Ardisson emerges from the shadow's with his re-interpretation of UBLERBRUCH. The result? Razor-sharp breakbeats, ghost-like vocals and some serious sub action. Awesome stuff.

THE FALL OF LIBERTY EP

There’s definite value for money here as 6 tracks are squeezed on to the second Data Trace release.
This is underground music at its most experimental, with a wicked cut full of speaker wobbling bass from Teutonic Kaboom on ‘Terminal,’ and some deliciously old school sounding hard electro from Mazzula on ‘Bass Bias’.
The whole EP is worth checking out, while easily the most accessible track on offer ‘Ublerbruch’ from Smashback has the potential to crossover a few different scenes. K1

DATA-TRACE

Good to see Data-Trace living up to the promise of its first release, with 6 more tracks traversing the dirty, crunchy, squelchy middle ground between warehouse electro, hard techno and dubstep. Top track is the gloriously stoopid jacking stomp of Cyntha Stern's 'China Belly Yum!' but there are bass-heavy thrills to be found throughout.
