Re: Drink prices at BLOC??

Given that standard London prices are now over £4 a pint and this is a festival, I'll be shocked if beer is less than £4.50, on a par with sporting events in the capital. I obviously hope it's substantially less, but I equally wouldn't be shocked if all we had access to were small bottles of lager f...

Re: Who is going?

Yep, though again I live in London so it's fairly straightforward. Initially was pissed off about the cahnge of location (And the clash with Free Rotation) but the hype around the venue picked me up, and some of the bookings (Reich, Arpanet, ATOL) were enough to get me enthused in the end. Looking f...

Re: Bloc 2011: Highs and Lows

We got to Bloc and saw the car perched on the traffic light stump. We drove out to Mozzers for supplies later on and saw the cops doing a full cavity search on the car. I guess the Bloc excitement got to them... Yeah they musta hit it with some force!! Specially as it's just after the roundabout!! ...

Re: Anyone ready to suggest stuff for next year??

I won't be around next year but I have a great suggestion for 2013 - move it north! The Centre Parcs near Worksop or Penrith would be crazy! Or even Pontins in Blackpool or Southport! The one thing about both Hemsby and Minehead are they are a bugger to get to (and a struggle to drive home from ;) ...

Re: What are the ovens in the chalet like?

Yo I know this is a random question but how big are the ovens in the chalet? I plan to get some proper cooking on this weekend and can't be dealing with a tiny over as some of the dishes I may bring might not fit! I have stayed at Pontins several times and they have always been tiny! Are the ones a...

Re: driving from south london , best route???

M4, then M5, then A roads is by far the quicker route - the only bottleneck is the M5 interchange near Bristol. Other than that it's normally a breeze. You can do it in about 3 hours without a stop going that way, traffic allowing. The bit at the end once you're off the motorway always takes longer ...

Sorry - was on lunch! They look a good compromise - would you mind getting feedback from your MRS and posting her thoughts here after the fest?

Cheers!
